The U.S. Army has added $58.6 billion to Lockheed Martin’s Patriot interceptor contract—an extension for seven years covering FY2026 through 2032, the largest single order in history. The backdrop is that inventories are running low: before the war, there were 2,330 PAC-3 MSE interceptors; by the time the ceasefire began in April, that number had been cut in half. CSIS now estimates there are only 759 to 827 interceptors left. Lockheed says the funding will triple production capacity by the end of 2030.
