💡 bStock price is NOT the value of the entire company

There’s one mistake that’s easy to make when you start looking at stocks through bStocks.

See a token for $100 and think:

“Wow, this company is worth $100.”

No.

$100 is the price of one unit of exposure to the stock, not the valuation of the entire company.

To understand the difference, just separate two things.

📌 The stock price answers the question:

“How much does one share cost right now?”

📌 Market cap answers a different one:

“How much is the whole company valued at by the market?”

Simplified:

Market Cap = Share Price × Shares Outstanding

For example, if a hypothetical company has 1 billion shares, and one share costs $100, then its market capitalization is about $100 billion.

So two companies can have completely different valuations even if the price of one share is the same for both.

That’s especially important to remember when you’re looking at bStocks.

The unit price is only one piece of information.

It taught me not to draw conclusions about a “cheap” or “expensive” company just based on the price of a single token or share.

📚 Practical lesson:

When comparing two companies, don’t ask only:

“Which one has the lower price?”

Ask:

“How many shares exist and what is the valuation of the entire company?”
