📊 Hypothetical educational example:
Let’s assume a coin broke above resistance at $50 and rose quickly to $54.
At first glance, the breakout seems strong.
But when we review the trading volume, we notice that volume is below average, and there isn’t a clear increase in activity.
After a short time, the price falls back below $50.
In this case, the move was strong in the chart, but it wasn’t supported by sufficient participation from the market.
🧭 How does a trader apply this concept?
When you see a strong move:
• Don’t look at candles only.
• Compare the trading volume with the previous one.
• Watch whether volume increases with the breakout or decreases.
• Pay attention to the price’s continuation after the move, not just the breakout moment.
• Look for agreement between price and volume.

Chasing the price directly after a big candle just because it looks strong.
This error may cause a trader to enter after a rapid move that did not get enough support from volume, only to find themselves trapped in a false breakout or a quick reversal.
