#repostInvestig Tether, the issuer of the world’s largest stablecoin, increased its gold reserves to more than 146 metric tons after adding 14 tons during the second quarter, the company said Friday in a statement about its results for April to June.

The cryptocurrency firm became a major buyer of gold last year to back the reserves of the Tether USDT stablecoin, which has tokens in circulation worth $183.7 billion, and the Tether gold token XAUT, with $2.9 billion in circulation.
