I didn’t think I’d end up checking this, but I decided to try transferring my $NVDAB into my own wallet just to see if it actually works the way it’s claimed.

I connected MetaMask to the BNB Chain, entered the address, and the token really arrived in a couple of minutes via a regular BEP-20 transfer. No separate “share withdrawal process,” no forms, nothing.

And that’s where a strange feeling kicked in. I’m holding something tied to the real NVIDIA stock price in my wallet, outside of any exchange entirely. Not in Binance custody, not in a broker’s custody—just a token in MetaMask like any other.

Earlier, I never really thought about how different this is from the usual “holding stocks” through a broker, where everything always stays on their side and you don’t directly control anything. Here, the choice is real, and it was the choice that surprised me more than the tokenization itself.

Honestly, I still haven’t decided whether I’ll hold anything off-exchange long-term, or if this is just a one-time curiosity. And you—do you self-custody your bStocks, or does the usual exchange storage suit you more?
