For the same transaction, you end up paying 10% more in fees than someone who actually knows what they’re doing—just because a switch was never turned on.

In the Binance app, the setting “Use BNB to offset trading fees” is something many people use for a year without even realizing it.

Today, BTC has reclaimed the level above 65,000. When the market comes back, trading fees are your most reliable cost advantage. My approach is simple: keep the spot and futures contracts enabled with BNB fee offset for everything—save 10% on every order. Over the course of a year, the money saved is enough for several great meals.

1. First, confirm that BNB offset is turned on: if it’s off, you’ll pay more on every trade—basically giving money away.
2. You need BNB in your account for it to work: if you don’t have any, allocate a small amount, but don’t go all-in on BNB just to save on fees.
3. If you can place limit orders, don’t do market orders: the limit order fee rate is already lower, and then you stack the BNB discount—so the cost difference is significant.
4. Once your trading volume increases, check your VIP tier: the higher the tier, the lower the fee rate. It stacks with the offset—you don’t choose one over the other.
5. My bottom line: unless your BNB position ratio gets so high that it affects fund turnover, I’ll never turn this switch off.

You can’t control the market, but fees are one of the few expenses you can reduce on your own. Did you turn on this setting? Drop a comment and tell us how much you can save in a year.
