Overall, the upside created by leverage and FOMO in the final segment is very difficult to rebound to in the short term (a common “A-sha” crash). People who got liquidated or suffered huge losses have no power to fight on, and the smart ones who made this money also would not push the market to pull up spot prices to help people who weren’t liquidated get out. And precisely this portion is exactly the kind of chasing-up phase that the “grass” (retail investors) group likes most. So that upside above is very hard to recover in the medium to short term. Don’t count on it to quickly get back to the previous high. Most stocks that suffered an A-sha need new and better earnings expectations, or a new story, to add to the market’s expectations.
