At first, I saw bStocks as just another way to gain access to stocks through blockchain. But gradually a completely different idea caught my attention.
In TradFi, each asset class lives separately. Stocks are with a broker. Cryptocurrency is on an exchange or in a wallet. Stablecoins are in yet another system. Every operation between them means new intermediaries, time, and additional costs.
Tokenization is gradually blurring these boundaries.
When a stock becomes a BEP-20 standard token, it stops being only an instrument for buying or selling. It begins to exist in the same environment as other digital assets.
And this, in my opinion, is the main change.
In a few years, we might even stop dividing a portfolio into “stocks” and “cryptocurrency.” There will simply be tokenized assets with different risk profiles, returns, and liquidity.
Today, bStocks allow you to get exposure to major companies through Binance Spot. Tomorrow, a similar model could potentially cover a much wider range of real-world assets.
Maybe tokenization isn’t just another financial product. Maybe it’s a gradual transition to a world where the difference between traditional finance and blockchain becomes almost unnoticeable.
