According to a report by the Russian Satellite Communications Agency, the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia said that in Moscow, more than 20 employees of cryptocurrency exchange points were detained and nine channels allegedly used to transfer scam funds abroad via cryptocurrency were shut down. The FSB said that the relevant illegal exchange points had a maximum daily transaction volume of about US$2 million, and law enforcement personnel also detained several individuals aged 18 to 25 involved in handing over funds. Investigations into the case have been launched under charges of fraud involving exceptionally large amounts.
