Why are Amrize shares falling today?

Amrize AG shares fell 9.1% to trade at 38.02 Swiss francs, after the company reported second-quarter earnings that came in below expectations and lowered its full-year outlook for adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA), citing cost pressures linked to oil prices.

Earnings per share in the second quarter were $0.88, below analysts’ estimate of $0.96. Meanwhile, revenue rose 6.7% organically to reach $3.5 billion, beating the consensus forecast of $3.35 billion, driven by strength in demand and pricing.

Amrize raised its outlook for full-year annual revenue to between $12.5 billion and $12.7 billion, a level above consensus expectations. However, it reduced its outlook for adjusted EBITDA to between $3.1 billion and $3.2 billion, compared with the previous range of $3.25 billion to $3.34 billion#BrentClimbs3.8%To$82.49 $TRUMP
