Hong Kong Exchanges said the securities market's total market capitalization reached HK$46.8 trillion at the end of July 2026, up 4% from a year earlier. Jiemian News reported that average daily turnover in July 2026 was HK$307.2 billion, up 17% year on year, while the average daily turnover for the first seven months of 2026 was HK$286.8 billion, up 18%. For the first seven months, average daily turnover in callable bull/bear contracts rose 36% to HK$13.1 billion, exchange-traded funds rose 22% to HK$40.6 billion, and leveraged and inverse products surged 169% to HK$10.5 billion.
