The U.S. July employment data unexpectedly weakened, and the market is refocusing on the Federal Reserve’s next policy path; meanwhile, there are also new developments in the Senate’s push for the CLARITY Act.📊

AI stock god Leopold returns to the investment stage, splashing US$500 million to back a stealth chip startup Source Foundry
On August 8, citing people familiar with the matter, Bloomberg reported that Leopold Aschenbrenner, a 25-year-old Wall Street newcomer dubbed an “AI stock god” and a former OpenAI researcher, returned to the investment arena just days after his hedge fund was on the verge of collapse. He poured US$400 million into a privately held company backed by Sequoia Capital. The latest disclosure today is that the private company is Source Foundry, a chip-manufacturing startup. The fund had previously invested US$100 million in Source Foundry; after this additional US$400 million, its total investment in Source Foundry reached US$500 million.
The investment, completed on Tuesday, is the first sign of how Leopold is dealing with the fallout after his Situational Awareness fund nearly collapsed last week when multiple lenders on Wall Street issued margin calls in quick succession.
Source Foundry is a stealth chip manufacturing startup founded in 2025 in San Francisco by Abdulmalik Obaid (CEO), a Stanford materials science researcher, and Joe Burg. It focuses on developing simpler, lower-cost, faster semiconductor lithography and manufacturing processes and tools. The goal is to challenge ASML’s extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography machines and address the huge gap between the exponential growth in AI compute demand and the linear expansion of traditional chip manufacturing capacity—thereby reshaping how advanced AI chips are produced.

$XRP current price is around $1.04 In the past 24 hours, the decline is only 0.08%, with a narrow trading range
The 7-day decline reaches ↓2.0%, showing a clear divergence between short-term stability and the longer-term trend
The funding rate is currently maintained at ↑0.0013% XRP’s trading volume is as high as 58,565,184 coins, yet the price has not shown any obvious volatility
On the 24-hour trading volume ranking by turnover, XRP ranks fourth, with turnover of about $0.06B
Key points to watch: XRP’s current price is $1.04 If within the next 24 hours its price breaks above $1.05 and the funding rate remains at ↑0.0013% or higher, it may indicate that short-term support has emerged; if the price keeps dropping to below $1.01 and the funding rate shows no significant change, it suggests that hidden selling pressure is still present

If you just bought bStocks-related assets on Binance last week and look at today’s liquidity data, it may be completely different from what you expected.
Binance rolled out 10 bStocks trading pairs in a concentrated period from late July to early August and also added multiple USDⓈ-Margined perpetual contracts. In theory, this should attract inflows of capital. But TVL growth has been limited, and the total market value of stablecoins has not shown any clear fluctuations. From on-chain data, funding rates are still at a low level, and the battle between longs and shorts has not heated up yet.
This wave looks lively, but trading volume is actually fading. Has the market already positioned itself in advance? Or are funds waiting for clearer signals?
In the short term, there is likely more back-and-forth.

$UNI 24h Rise/Fall ↓2.97%, this number deserves to be singled out.
Unlike most coins that swing wildly in the short term, it’s holding steady around $3.99, with a drawdown of no more than 3%. But if you look closely, its 7-day decline is already 7.7%, while over the past 30 days it still shows a gain of 18.8%. This divergence—short-term weakness paired with long-term strength—is in itself worth paying attention to.
From the funding side, UNI’s contract open interest is about $75M. The current funding rate is ↑0.0058%, and it’s still within the range where longs and shorts are roughly balanced. At this pace, there’s no clear shift in leverage sentiment.
This feels like a contradiction: long-term capital is flowing in, but short-term capital is flowing out. If this trend continues, it may make UNI’s near-term performance look even worse. However, there’s still no clear sign of momentum fading—what’s happening is more like capital is being redistributed.
Watch points: UNI’s 30-day gain is ↑18.8%. If, in the next 24 hours, the 7-day decline hasn’t narrowed to within ↓5% or less, it suggests the short-term correction may not be over. If it rebounds to around ↓2%, then it might just be a normal pullback within the volatility. What do you think?
