HACKERS ARE TARGETING WALL STREET FIRMS WITH JUST A PHONE CALL $HFT

Google says hackers created 72 fake sites aimed at employees of Blackstone, Bridgewater, Apollo, KKR, Bain Capital, TPG, CME Group, and Moody's.

How it works: $TAKE

- They call an employee's personal phone number, pretending to be IT from the company

- The real help desk number sometimes appears on the screen

- They say passwords need to be updated urgently

- The employee is sent to a fake site called "passkeyhelpdesk"

- The password is entered; hackers ask for the text code, and the account is taken over before the call ends

Google says some companies have even paid ransoms. $ACE

These companies spend hundreds of millions on cybersecurity.
