INTC is currently around 100.8, and today it printed an interesting candlestick.
From 95.8 up to 103, with a 7-point amplitude, and the close is also on the high side. It looks like a meaningful rebound.
But the issue is in the details.
The whales’ long position ratio has already reached 81.78%, the long-to-short position ratio is 4.49, and over the past 7 hours they’ve still been adding. This concentration is already very high.
On the other hand, aggressive buy orders over the past 7 hours are down 23%, and the order book bid depth is also clearly thinner than the sell side.
In other words, the whales are definitely heavily betting on longs, but the market hasn’t followed through by buying.
The contradiction leads to this: if the whales are right, there may be more room ahead; but if they need to exit, with the order book this thin, volatility could spike quickly.
The funding rate is still 0, which suggests it hasn’t reached a level of overheated sentiment yet.
So I won’t rush to chase at this spot. The rebound has strength, but the buy-side hasn’t really caught up—waiting for a confirmation will feel more comfortable.
