Alibaba’s Wan3.0 catches up with Seedance 2.5 in generation length, with 30 seconds per run
According to insights from Beating monitoring, Alibaba Cloud has opened its next-generation video model, Wan3.0, for public testing. The single-generation duration has doubled from 15 seconds in Wan2.7 to 30 seconds, catching up to Seedance 2.5. In addition to text, images, audio, and video, Wan3.0 can also directly read Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, and Markdown documents to generate product demos, teaching courseware, animated charts, and business reports. The model supports intelligent selection of duration, extending videos, and modifying scenes, storylines, and dialogue based on instructions. The focus of the reference generation upgrade improves consistency across characters, props, sound, spatial relationships, and art style, but the sound quality and the accuracy of on-screen text still need improvement. Wan3.0 has been opened on Alibaba Cloud’s Bailian, WanJingYiKe, the WanXiang website, and the Qianwen PC app, with a phased rollout on the Qianwen mobile app. The API will be fully released soon; pricing for 480P, 720P, and 1080P is 0.3 yuan, 0.6 yuan, and 1.2 yuan per second, respectively. Generating a 30-second 1080P video costs 36 yuan.
