Swire Properties CEO Tim Blackburn said the mainland retail investment portfolio posted strong sales growth in the first half of this year, but growth slowed in July as heavy rain and extreme heat in parts of mainland China weighed on sales, according to Ming Pao.

He added that overall retail performance remained in a very healthy state and that the group is confident about the rest of the year.
