If the CLARITY Act (Digital Asset Market Clarity Act) is approved in the U.S., the directors of the BTTC project (BitTorrent)—derived from the BTT token—tend to direct the asset to be classified as a digital commodity (a decentralized digital asset), under the primary jurisdiction of the CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission), and no longer under the SEC’s securities-value scrutiny.

This opinion takes into account the outcome of the lawsuit filed by the SEC against Justin Sun and the BitTorrent Foundation, which was concluded through a $10 million settlement in March 2026.

There the lawsuit involving fraud was eliminated, along with the sale of irregular securities and the consideration of BTTC as a security.

As @JustinSun during the course of the process has always sought to defend itself by arguing that the asset was not a security, the trend is for the project to pursue this second classification.

What, in our opinion, cannot happen is for the project to be left out and receive no classification, staying on the fringes of regulatory law.

If it is in fact classified as a commodity, that should directly affect the asset’s value, because removing legal risk significantly reduces the possibility of delisting on major exchanges, especially those regulated in the U.S. like BINANCE.

In addition, the perception of institutional security would also facilitate institutional custody and the entry of corporate capital without the fear of retroactive penalties from the SEC.

However, I understand that there would be a need for a change in the current standards of transparency in issuance and operations.

Formal registration with the CFTC would bring greater predictability about the asset’s future and require stronger governance.

Historically, the clear definition of regulatory boundaries removes market uncertainty and acts as a true bullish catalyst for utility assets, such as BTTC, and the associated layer ecosystems within the overall crypto environment.

This scenario could drive the price up.

We are left with just one question:

Has @JustinSun already prepared the ground for this approval with the recent change in the direction of the project, or will BTTC be left behind its competitors in the market?

This article is not investment advice. Review the market carefully, respect your investor profile, study the options, and good luck in the crypto world (delisting) on major exchanges, especially those regulated in the U.S. like BINANCE.
