I used to open STONfi, pick my tokens, and swap without checking anything. Then I wondered why I sometimes received fewer tokens than I expected.
Now I always spend a few seconds checking the details first.
I make sure I have enough TON to cover gas, since even tiny network fees still require a balance.
Then I check slippage. I usually keep it between 1 and 2 percent for normal pairs and increase it only when trading more volatile tokens.
I also look at the price impact. If it is too high, I split the swap into smaller amounts or wait for better liquidity.
One feature that makes things even easier is Omniston. Instead of searching different platforms for the best rate, it automatically finds the best available route across the network. It saves time and helps me avoid unnecessary losses.
A few extra seconds before swapping can make a huge difference.
