At first I assumed choosing a DeFi application for your vault was a preference, something you could revisit later if something better came along. The actual design does not work that way. The application you select when creating a Babylon Trustless Bitcoin Vault is written into the pre-signed transactions at creation time. It cannot be changed afterward. Ever. What I kept thinking about is the moment that decision gets made. It happens early in the setup flow, before most people understand what they are committing to. You are not choosing a setting you can update. You are choosing a counterparty relationship that will outlast every version of the application you chose. Aave v4 today. Aave v5 tomorrow. A better protocol next year. None of it matters once the signatures are in. The vault remembers only what you told it at the start. What stays with me is not the technical constraint itself. It is who reads that detail carefully before clicking through. Most do not. Which leaves the question worth sitting with: when a one-time choice carries permanent consequences, is the design protecting the user from instability, or protecting itself from the user's second thoughts?

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang publicly called out who the winner of the AI race is. Not OpenAI, not Anthropic, and not Google—but Elon Musk.
His rationale has nothing to do with personal character; it is based on the “compute-power math” of infrastructure: Tesla’s AI factories are equipped with a large amount of Nvidia hardware, and Tesla’s fleet is the largest real-world data collection system on Earth.
Musk controls what Huang calls the three most important domains in AI: xAI (foundational cognitive intelligence), Tesla (autonomous driving vehicles), and Optimus humanoid robots.

Right now, the more interesting observation isn't whether ALTs are coming soon, but whether the conditions for broader participation are slowly falling into place.
