Many people ask me what I value most when carrying trades. It’s not whether I can catch the right move, but how I handle it when I get it wrong. I set myself a hard rule: once a trade is entered and the price action is not right, I cut the loss immediately using the stop-loss—no holding on, and absolutely no adding to average down to “spread” the loss. The market won’t take care of you just because you don’t accept being wrong. The more you add, the easier it is to turn a small mistake into a huge hole. Admitting you got it wrong isn’t embarrassing—the real problem is the real money sitting in your account. I’d rather lose this one time as a transaction fee and keep my “ammo” for the next position with a higher chance. If you’ve also suffered from holding trades through losses, try setting yourself a firm rule: cut at the price—no negotiation. If you agree, give it a like. On my profile, I lead trades in real time based on these exact rules.
