#TradFi晒单 This afternoon I closed the SOXLB spot I had picked up a while back. Before Nvidia’s earnings, a “double kill” signal from leverage decay + volatility compression: SOXLB tracks the 3X Semiconductor Bull ETF. Daily rebalancing in a high-volatility environment can eat away at compounding returns; VIX is still above 18, and when the sector chops sideways, NAV tends to drift lower—an “earnings-pre volatility collapse.” I’m not holding through the weekend for this. SOXLB is held in ADGM custody on a 1:1 certificate and has no voting rights. Since U.S. markets are closed, you can’t hedge. I saw the late-day rebound lacked volume and I exited directly. I’ll wait until Nvidia’s guidance becomes clear before coming back. Are you holding SOXLB for leverage amplification, or are you afraid of rebalancing decay and choosing to take profits first?
