🚨 The White House dispels rumors that recently seized Bitcoin has been sold
Earlier this month, rumors circulated that the Department of Justice (DOJ) had released $6M $BTC that two developers from Samourai Wallet submitted when pleading guilty. White House crypto advisor Patrick Witt confirmed today that the DOJ has not and will not liquidate the $BTC .
All of it will be held in the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve as per the decree of President Trump.
The U.S. government currently holds 328,372 $BTC ($31.3B). This includes 127,271 BTC seized last October from the Cambodian fraudster Chen Zhi.
