RippleX’s product lead, Jazzi Cooper, indicated that the next XRPLd version 3.3.0 will bring ZK-powered privacy to XRPL tokenized assets, atomic batch liquidation, and role-based access controls for institutional users. This version enables an institution or user to delegate specific operational permissions to other users or services without surrendering private keys or full control of the account.

It also allows companies or platforms to cover transaction costs and XRP account setup for their users, making it easier to roll out services to customers without them having to buy XRP beforehand. The release of version 3.3.0 makes the code available to nodes, but each amendment requires approval by 80% of the network’s validators over two consecutive weeks in order to activate on the mainnet.
