I HAve been digging through CreatorPad's Geneesis records, and honestly, most chatter about $BABY misses the mark. Everyone talks tokenomics, but nobody's tracking where the numbers actually sit.

Heres the reality. When Genesis went live, Baby launched with 10 billion tokens and an 8% yearly emission hardcoded into the protocol. That new supply splits evenly BTC stakers get half, BABY stakers get the other half. Standard stuff.

But then Babylon Labs introduced a burn auction that actually made me pay attention. Instead of BSN rewards piling up passiveily, they go into an auction where participants bid BABY. The winning bid gets burned. Gone. Forever. Governance already signed off, so its live.

Heres my concern. July 10 is a fixed supply event baked into the code. No governance proposal can touch it. No market downturn can postpone it. It executes, full stop.

The burn mechanism moves differently though. It only gains momentum when BSN adoption produces real reward activity. You can have massive BTC positionis sitting idle across Babylon's ecosystem, and it won't move the burn rate one bit. The protocol demands active engagement.

Near term reality? That 8% emission keeps printing fresh tokens. Unrelenting. Longer term? The burns could catch up, but timing matters. Burn aceleration depends on external chains integrating BSN, and that takes time.

Babylon Labs painted a compelling deflationary vision. Reads beautifully. But until we see sustained transaction throughput, that vision remains forward looking. The coming quarters will determine if $BABY trends toward scarcity or oversupply. And that 10 July date? It's shaping up to be quite the milestone.
