There’s a very clear change in the market recently: more and more people are starting to re-focus on the Bitcoin ecosystem.

In the past few years, people have mostly been paying attention to various new public chains, DeFi, NFTs, and Layer 2 narratives, while Bitcoin has long been regarded as nothing more than “digital gold.” But with the rise of Ordinals, the inscription ecosystem, and the development of Bitcoin Layer 2, more and more people are realizing that Bitcoin may have even greater room for imagination.

As someone who has been observing the evolution of blockchain over the long term, I believe Bitcoin’s greatest value is not just the wealth effect brought by price appreciation, but more importantly the security consensus it has accumulated over more than a decade. Babylon is exploring new directions precisely on this foundation.

In my view, Babylon’s biggest highlight is enabling Bitcoin to move from “passive holding” to “active participation.”

Previously, many BTC holders had basically no other way to participate besides waiting for price changes. But with Babylon’s design, Bitcoin can become a security backstop for other blockchain networks, so the value of BTC is no longer limited to storage, but is further connected to the entire Web3 ecosystem.

That’s also why I’m paying attention to Babylon. Market hotspots change quickly now. Whether a project can develop long-term isn’t mainly about how beautifully short-term stories are told, but whether it truly solves industry problems.

The future development of blockchain will definitely be inseparable from security and trust foundations. And Bitcoin happens to have one of the strongest consensus mechanisms in the industry right now. If this security capability can be leveraged by more parts of the ecosystem, then BTC’s positioning may undergo a new upgrade.

Of course, I won’t blindly look favorably on any project. Babylon’s later development still needs to be watched in terms of ecosystem building, real-world applications, and market feedback. But from industry trends, the Bitcoin ecosystem is regaining attention, and Babylon provides a new way to connect BTC with Web3.

This may be a direction worth paying attention to in the revival of the BTC ecosystem. This article takes a different angle from the previous two: the first two were more “project introductions,” while this one is more “market trends + personal viewpoints,” which is better suited for continuous publishing on the Binance Square and helps reduce repetition. $BABY @BabylonLabs_io #baby $BTC
