🗣️Hello everyone, friends. BNB Chain has achieved an important milestone in transaction finality. On BSC, transactions can now be finalized in about 0.65 seconds. ⚡️ 🧙Thanks to this, applications, bridges, exchanges, and users can be much more certain that transactions are completed, far faster. ✔️Faster deposit transactions ✔️Faster cross-chain transfers ✔️Near-instant confirmations Moreover, while preserving EVM compatibility, the finality time was accelerated by about 70x. 🚀 BSC uses deterministic finality. That means once a block is finalized, it can no longer be reverted. While Parlia continues producing blocks, a dedicated finality layer validates blocks with validator votes. So how did the ~45-second timeframe drop to 0.65 seconds? 👇 1⃣ BEP-126 reduced the time to 2–3 seconds by introducing validator voting with BLS signatures. 2⃣ BEP-590 brought the time down to about 0.9 seconds by allowing late-arriving votes to be added to recently produced blocks as well. 3⃣ BEP-648 enabled real-time aggregation of votes, bringing the finality time down to as low as 0.65 seconds. 4⃣ BEP-667 aims to prepare BSC for shorter block times by distributing the voting load across blocks.
