Gold has successfully broken through the descending trendline, indicating that bearish momentum has weakened somewhat. However, the price is still fluctuating within the resistance zone above, and sellers remain entrenched.
Over the past few weeks, gold has been consolidating within a clear trading range. Buyers have repeatedly held the psychological support area at $4,000, while the bulls have not yet been able to break through the overhead resistance level. This persistent range-bound structure suggests that the market is accumulating energy in preparation for the next round of directional movement.
As long as the $4,000 support level holds, the bullish outlook remains favorable. I expect the price to eventually break out of the current resistance zone and continue pushing toward higher levels.
However, the bullish view can only be confirmed if the daily candlestick close is above the upper resistance zone. Until then, the price may continue to move within the existing range until a breakout occurs.
