Recently, I took a deeper look into Babylon’s Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV), and the design is truly imaginative. Previously, for Bitcoin to participate in DeFi, most of the time it needed to be wrapped into mapped tokens, which involves custody and cross-chain risks. With TBV, native Bitcoin doesn’t need to leave the Bitcoin mainnet to gain programmability—it can directly serve as DeFi collateral, powering use cases like lending and borrowing. It doesn’t require handing assets over to third-party custodians, truly achieving trustlessness. This will greatly unlock liquidity from the vast existing supply of Bitcoin, driving further growth in the BTCFi space. I’m very optimistic about the future ecosystem development potential of $BABY .#baby
