Zcash founder Zooko Wilcox said on X that some users believe ZEC may have been secretly issued in excess and that confirmation may need to wait until the Ironwood migration is completed, or for months or even years. According to Odaily, Wilcox said that view is incorrect.

He said users can verify ZEC’s current supply on their own local computers now, and said the total supply is 16,848,458.
