Every day, we create a lot of data:

📱 Search history.

🛒 Shopping behavior.

📍 Location.

📷 Images.

💬 Messages.

🎮 Internet activity.

But have you ever wondered:

Who truly owns that data?

🌐 Current reality

In the traditional Internet model (Web2):

Users generate data.

Data storage and management platforms.

Users typically only have the right to use the service, while how the data is collected and used depends on each platform’s policies.

This makes data control a topic of interest.

🔗 What perspective does Web3 bring?

One of Web3’s goals is to increase users’ ability to manage their own digital identity and digital assets.

Example:

🔐 What blockchain helps users self-manage access keys.

🪪 Digital identity can reduce dependence on many separate accounts.

📄 Data can be shared when users actively grant permission, depending on the app and system design.

Web3 doesn’t automatically solve every problem, but it opens up new models for data control.

🚀 Role of Blockchain

Blockchain can support:

✅ Transparency.

✅ Verifiability.

✅ Reduces reliance on a single storage point in some models.

✅ Increases self-custody of digital assets.

💡 Personal perspective

In my view, Web3’s great value is not just cryptocurrencies.

What’s more noteworthy is how technology can help users gain greater control over their assets and digital identity, if implemented correctly.

That’s why I keep exploring U2U Network, Blockchain, and DePIN.

What do you think?

If you could choose, what would you want to self-manage most?

🔐 Digital identity

📄 Personal data

💰 Digital assets

I’m documenting the 100 Days journey with U2U so everyone can explore Blockchain, Web3, and DePIN together.
