I usually pay more attention to the technical side of @BabylonLabs_io , but one detail in the governance module genuinely made me stop.
If I hold $BABY and don't vote, my validator can automatically inherit my voting power.
I don't get a reminder. I don't have to approve anything. It simply happens.
At first, that sounds convenient. But the more I think about it, the more interesting the trade-off becomes.
#baby governance runs through the Cosmos SDK gov module, while BABY is used for gas, voting, and securing Babylon Genesis alongside staked BTC.
The problem is that I think most delegators probably never visit the governance page. So, by default, the validator I chose months ago can end up representing my voting power today, even if my views have completely changed.
What I find fascinating is the contrast with Babylon's $BTC staking experience.
I can self-custody my BTC, stake it with clear onchain conditions, and interact with a system designed around deliberate actions.
But when it comes to governance, I can effectively participate without doing anything at all.
I think that's the real question: how many $BABY holders actually realize that their vote may already be being cast through their validator? If you want, I can also make the **title more click-worthy** or the post **more technical and analytical**.
