BABY's exchange list for way too long. @BabylonLabs_io keeps getting pitched as bulletproof Bitcoin security infrastructure, so I expected the token itself to trade somewhere with real depth behind it.
Instead — 38 exchanges. 53 separate markets. Total 24h volume sitting around $6.3M, and the single busiest pair, the one on Binance, the exchange everyone assumes owns this thing, is only pulling in about $457K of that. Call it 7%. No venue anywhere close to dominant. Just volume smeared thin across a pile of places, some of them (Bitunix, LBank) not exactly household names.
Kind of funny when you sit with it. The protocol's whole premise is that BTC locked on-chain gives downstream PoS chains institutional-grade security, real weight, real stakes. Meanwhile the token that's supposed to govern and secure that same system gets priced by whichever fragmented pocket of liquidity happens to be awake. hold up— that's not a criticism exactly, just a mismatch that doesn't get talked about much.
Makes me wonder what "price discovery" even means for a token like this. Is it the aggregate number everyone quotes, or is it whichever exchange has the deepest book at 3am?
