1inch introduces Aqua — a new shared liquidity layer for DeFi
The DeFi ecosystem 1inch has announced the public launch of Aqua — a non-custodial protocol that allows using the same wallet balance in multiple liquidity positions at once, without locking assets.
Along with the launch, the 1inch Network Incentives program started. Liquidity providers received 10 million 1INCH and 500,000 USDC in rewards.
According to a Dune study commissioned by 1inch, around 85% of concentrated liquidity on major DEXs in the first half of 2026 was used inefficiently. The company believes that Aqua should improve capital efficiency in DeFi.
