#baby $BABY has been closely tracking Aave V4 and the collaboration plan between @BabylonLabs_io and Babylon Labs for a long time. This “Hub-Spoke + native BTC integration” narrative is indeed impressive. Aave V4 uses the Hub-Spoke architecture to integrate cross-chain liquidity, while TBV connects the native BTC onboarding channel, bypassing the wrapping and custodial model of WBTC. BTC holders don’t need to hand over their private keys and can use native BTC directly as collateral for borrowing—effectively opening a trillion-dollar collateral asset pool for Aave.

But the bigger the narrative, the more you have to dig into underlying risks. This interconnected mechanism has yet to undergo extreme market pressure testing. If BTC experiences a sharp plunge, the price synchronization delay across cross-chain nodes and the time gap in TBV liquidation procedures will become a fatal vulnerability. As market conditions change by the second, any losses caused by bottlenecks in the liquidation path can only be borne by the token holders.

Now look at the real situation on the $BABY chart. While integrating with Aave is a tangible step forward—expanding use cases such as governance and protocol fees—there is currently still a lack of stable, sustained cash flow. The team and private placement allocations are unlocked monthly, with the release schedule extending to 2029, leaving long-term sell-pressure hanging overhead. The token price has pulled back significantly from its highs, and the market’s attitude has already said it all.

In my view, Babylon Labs’ technical innovation direction is correct, and the deep integration of native BTC into DeFi is a long-term trend. However, there is a huge gap between the architecture on paper and actual on-chain execution. Until it can fully survive a full round of a major market selloff and liquidations run stably, I only dare to test with a small position—going heavy is no different from participating in an online test.

Everyone might consider this: if BTC drops sharply in the short term and TBV liquidation is delayed, can your position withstand the impact? DYOR—let’s discuss in the comments!
