The Binance Android app can no longer be downloaded from Google Play in some EU countries such as Spain, but it’s still available in Poland.
At first glance it looks like the app was pulled from the app store, but what’s really worth discussing is the timing:
This happened after two things—Binance withdrew its application for the Greek MiCA license, and the EU transition period officially ended on July 1.
In other words: transition period ends → no MiCA license → app store compliance review fails → downloads become restricted. The logic chain is quite clear, but Binance has not yet explained the specific reasons.
A few boundary points should be clarified: it’s restricted downloads, not a service interruption—existing users can theoretically still use it; it’s only in some countries, not across the entire EU—Poland can still download it; and it’s Android/Play Store—iOS App Store has not been mentioned.
The practical impact on traders: if you’re in newly restricted countries such as Spain, you may not be able to update the app via Play Store in the future. Keep an eye on whether they provide APK direct installation or other channels.
