Still, for veterans who have been through multiple bull-bear cycles, we’d rather endure the steep learning curve and the tedious overhead of cold backups than hand our trump cards to a closed black box that could blow up at any moment.
People in the industry often say TVL represents everything. But in my view, what truly determines how far an underlying architecture like Babylon can go is never the illusory bubble of a bull market. It’s how much room the system leaves for retail users to save themselves when a black swan hits.
