Odaily Planet Daily News: Hyperliquid co-founder iliensinc responded to the abnormal pricing issue involving Trade.xyz’s quote for SK Hynix this morning. He said that Hyperliquid is a permissionless blockchain, and different teams can deploy and operate markets based on its infrastructure. Specifically, the xyz:SKHYNIX perpetual contract is deployed and operated by the XYZ team. The XYZ team is currently investigating the incident and will publish updates once a conclusion is reached.

He also explained that the HIP-3 market deployer is responsible for providing data such as mark prices, oracles, and external perpetual contract prices. Taking a pricing mechanism similar to BTC perpetual contracts as an example, the protocol uses, as one of the three price components, the median of the latest on-chain traded price, the best bid price, and the best ask price. The other two prices are provided by the deployer, and the three together determine the final mark price.
