Many people think the biggest problem with BTC is that it’s too quiet.
A large amount of BTC has been sitting in wallets for a long time, not participating in more scenarios and not creating more connections.

But in my opinion, behind this phenomenon there’s actually a problem that’s easy to overlook:
What exactly is being accumulated down in BTC?

Many people’s first reaction might be quantity, price, or market cap.
But more importantly, it’s a kind of trust that has been proven over many years.
And precisely because this trust is so precious, BTC holders tend to be more cautious.

They’re willing to hold BTC long-term, but they may not be willing to put BTC into a system that requires additional trust just for more opportunities.
That’s the contradiction that’s existed in the BTC ecosystem:
the most valuable asset is often also the hardest to reuse.

If, in order to use it, you have to first change its form, then the new functions you gain may also bring new problems.
So I think the @BabylonLabs_io Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV) is worth paying attention to not just because it aims to put BTC into more scenarios, but because it attempts to answer:
How can BTC’s value flow while preserving its most core source of trust?

The truly difficult part isn’t creating a new yield product—it’s finding a balance between efficiency and security.
Because for BTC, the biggest competitive advantage has never been having the most features, but rather people believing in it.

If in the future BTC can participate in more economic activities without changing its core attributes, then the changes it brings may not be the addition of just another application scenario, but a shift in how people understand BTC.

In the past, we mostly saw BTC as an asset for “storing value.”
But in the future, could it also become “trust that gets used”?

That’s the question I believe is most worth long-term observation regarding Babylon TBV.
Of course, any innovation involving asset security requires time to be validated.
But if this path can be made to work, then BTC’s greatest value may not only be that it’s held by more and more people, but that the trust it has accumulated over the years starts to be truly used by more of the ecosystem.
