Treat trading coins as a job, and you can truly make money.
At the beginning, like most people, I stayed up late watching charts, chasing pumps and selling at the wrong time. I went through liquidation, insomnia, and anxiety.
Later, I changed my mindset and focused on one thing: treating coin trading as a job—operate on time and follow the plan.
Here are the experiences I summarized from real practice. Beginners can save these:
Trade only after 9 p.m.
There are many market news updates during the day, and volatility is higher. I usually enter only after 9 p.m., when the market has already digested the news, and the candlesticks are clearer and the direction is more obvious.
Cash out immediately when you profit
If you make money, take it in time—don’t be greedy. For example, if you profit 1000U, first withdraw 300U, and continue trading with the remaining amount. Many people make triple profits and still want five times—then when the market pulls back, they give all the profit back.
Read indicators—don’t rely on feelings
Don’t place orders based on gut instinct—that’s the fastest way to get liquidated. Use TradingView and, before entering, check at least these 3 indicators:
MACD: a golden cross or a dead cross
RSI: overbought or oversold
Bollinger Bands: contraction or breakout
Enter only if at least two signals align.
Set stop-loss to follow the price upward
If you’re watching the screen, move your stop-loss up when the price rises. For example, buy at 1000U. If it rises to 1100U, move the stop-loss to 1050U. If you can’t watch actively, set a hard stop-loss of 3%.
Withdraw according to a plan
After you make money, withdraw 30%-50%. Keep the rest for trading—don’t leave all your funds in the market, hoping for a 10x return.
Learn candlestick chart techniques
For short-term trades, focus on the 1-hour chart. Two consecutive bullish candles can be a buy signal. If the market is ranging and choppy, look at the 4-hour chart to find support before considering an entry.
Avoid these pitfalls
Don’t go heavy on high leverage—if your direction is wrong, you’ll get liquidated.
Don’t touch altcoins you don’t understand—avoid getting “scalped.”
No more than 3 trades per day; beyond that, it’s easy to lose control.
Never trade with borrowed money!
Trading coins isn’t a shortcut to get rich—it’s the result of a long-term execution strategy.
If you don’t know how to trade right now, follow me. I have the mindset; you have the execution power. Let’s walk the path together next.@铭哥讲ETH
