MOST COMMON SCAMS IN THE CRYPTO MARKET
The crypto market has evolved.
Scams have evolved too.
Today, most losses don't happen due to direct hacking or complex technical failures.
They happen because someone convinced another person to hand over access, click where they shouldn't, or trust too much.
That's social engineering.
The most common scams today exploit three things:
urgency, MAJOR urgency, trust, and inattention.
🚨 Phishing (the most recurring scam)
Messages that appear official:
• emails
• SMS
• messages on social media
• sponsored ads
All very well done.
One wrong link is enough to lose access to your account or sign a transaction without realizing it.
🎭 Fake profiles and "fake support"
Scammers impersonate:
• exchange support
• influencers
• community administrators
They approach with URGENTLY, ALWAYS WITH MAJOR URGENTLY, asking for information or directing to external links.
No reputable exchange ever asks for passwords, seed phrases, or codes via message.
🎁 Promises, bonuses, and "unmissable opportunities"
The logic is simple:
Send a little now to get more later.
It can come disguised as:
• airdrop
• pre-sale
• wallet verification
• account recovery
In the crypto market, easy money is almost always a TRAP.
🔗 Cloned websites and fake apps
Interfaces identical to the originals.
A slightly different domain.
An app not from the official store.
This is how many people hand over login and authorization without realizing it.
The key point is this:
technology has evolved, but the main attack vector remains human behavior.
Scams work because:
• they seem urgent, VERY urgent.
• they seem legitimate
• they seem "too simple to be fake"
That's why healthy skepticism is protection.
Before clicking, connecting your wallet, or replying to any message, always ask:\ndoes this make sense, or is it trying to rush me?
