On one hand, it keeps the system running smoothly because not everyone has time to follow every proposal. On the other hand, it made me wonder how many people are influencing governance without even realizing it.

The Most Interesting Part of Babylon Wasn't the Code I started reading Babylon because I wanted to understand its staking architecture. I expected the technical design to be the highlight, but one small detail completely changed my perspective.
It wasn't about validators or trustless vaults. It was a section about arbitration and legal enforcement.
At first, I ignored it. Then I realized it wasn't there by accident. The more I connected it with the protocol's technical design, the clearer the bigger picture became.
Blockchain does an incredible job of reducing trust. Validators reach consensus, smart contracts execute predefined rules, and vaults verify conditions automatically. But real life is more complicated than code. Disputes, regulations, and off-chain obligations still exist, and no protocol can eliminate every one of them.
