YOU ARE NOT INVESTING..... YOU ARE GAMBLING
Here is the full testimony read in the video by José Cobori’s channel:
The Account: A viewer sent a message reporting a serious family problem involving his brother, a civil engineer graduated and with a master’s degree from USP, who works in sewage treatment and receives large sums of money in arrears from contracts.
The Loss History: That money ends up inducing the brother to operate in day trading. In total, he has already lost substantial amounts:
A first large amount (around R$ 1,5 million), which was paid off with help from his mother (an 83-year-old woman of Japanese descent) and his older sister.
After the debts were paid, he restarted and lost another R$ 600.000.
On a third attempt, even under threats of losing custody of his 4-year-old autistic son, he confessed that he had won R$ 100.000, but ended up losing everything again.
Control and Isolation: In the first phase, the sister was in charge of the account and the older brother (who works at the Central Bank) could monitor, but the trader opened a new account at Banco Bradesco where the family has no access.
Mental Health and Family Limit: The account states that the brother has a day-trading simulator on his computer, thinks about suicide, and the mother (at 83 years old) is completely worn out caring for three people with various disorders in the home. The person who sent the message asks whether there are legal alternatives or control measures (such as guardianship/interdiction) and vents about the lack of mechanisms in the financial system—like the self-exclusion button that exists in betting (bets)—to block this kind of operation.
