Babylon ($BABY ): Strong fundamentals, but the secondary market still needs a reversal
Recently I’ve been looking at Babylon ($BABY ). Its core is not to bridge BTC across chains, but to let users lock native BTC without wrapping or custody, providing security for PoS chains and BTCFi applications. As of now, about 51,400 BTC has been accumulated under the protocol—its fundamentals are not just pure hype.
In the secondary market, the current price is about $0.0125 at $BABY , with a market cap around $50.20 million, which is down about 92.5% from its historical peak—still in low territory. The main pressure is that investors, the team, and advisors unlock about 136 million BABY tokens per month. My take is: it’s worth putting into a BTCFi watchlist, but at this stage it’s more suitable for an event-driven swing trade. Only once the unlocks are absorbed by the market, staking demand increases, and a volume-supported breakout occurs can it count as a true reversal
