Chatting with people who joined me in 2023 and 2024, I've noticed some have already lost faith in this industry, cut their losses, and exited. Others are flatlined due to massive unrealized losses.

Those who cut their losses and exited regretfully didn't survive the volatility within the bull market. Lack of understanding about this industry and confusion about market trends may cause them to miss out on future big opportunities.

Since we're still in a bull market, plenty of opportunities remain ahead. If you leave now, you'll miss them.

But even if you're confident about the industry's future, and believe certain influencers who claim we're in a bull market, does that mean staying idle is the right approach?

I think the risk of “lying flat” is also very big.

Lying flat while deeply trapped is one thing. Clearly waiting for the Bs you hold to break out is a different matter entirely.

Because this is only being forced to “lie flat.” First, you need to figure out why you suffered such a big loss and ended up trapped.

Many people buy in just based on hunches. Back then, because it was rising so fast and others said it would rise even more, they chased the price—yet they couldn’t even read the market.

You don’t know what stage that B is in—early, mid, or late?

I remember clearly that at the end of 2023, around when ORDI topped at $80, I warned people. After that it dropped to $50–40. Some people said, “Anyway I’m stuck—just hold to the death.”

Now, ORDI has dropped to around $3. This is the result of “lying flat.”

Through the example of ORDI, you can already see that in this bull market, it’s a differentiated market—every year the bursts are different.

As for those that have already exploded: if you chased them when they were at high levels, they might become the next ORDI.

In the past, because you couldn’t read the market, you ended up deeply trapped—or you kept cutting and trimming, your account shrank severely. That’s in the past now. But you must see what the problem is, otherwise it will repeat endlessly.

Why chase at the high point? Every time, it’s only after it’s already gone up that you buy in—you’re late to react each time. This is because you can’t read the market. You don’t know when the downtrend ends. So you’re afraid of the market dropping. You only dare to enter after a big rise.

But in this market, being late to react is the biggest risk.

So what happened before doesn’t matter. What matters is what’s next.

Stop lying flat. Make up for what’s missing.

If you really want to break even next, and even seize bigger opportunities, you must learn at this very moment, improve yourself, and learn to read the market.

Because when you can read the market, you’ll know whether the market right now is in a bull or bear phase—and what will happen next.

Once you understand the market, you’ll know which of these Bs you hold are just early-stage pullbacks with plenty of room to continue holding, and which ones have already finished their run and will only rebound up and then drop.

Only by cutting positions with high risk in a timely way—stop-loss and reallocation—and holding onto the opportunities with greater upside, can you break even and even turn a profit.

Have you all thought about a few questions?

What if other things have risen but your position hasn’t—what should you do then?

When it rises, you’re getting closer and closer to breaking even. But once the rally ends, if you’re still immersed in the expectation of reaching break-even—and then it drops again, can you withstand it?

The market rose and you broke even, even made a profit. When should you sell? If you sell too early and the price keeps rising, what will you do? If you sell too late and it starts dropping again, can you judge in time when the trend changes?

Right now, lying flat means a future full of problems is waiting for you—torturing you.

But if you can read the market, these problems can all be solved. You won’t keep second-guessing yourself, and only then can you take control of your future destiny.
