The EOTS mechanism is ruthless in that wrongdoing directly exposes the private key, which is harsher than ordinary slashing. Paradigm led a $70 million round; a16z directly put in $15 million to buy $BABY . TVL is over $5.6 billion, and Aave and dYdX have also joined. However, staking is locked for 15 months—if you run into a sudden plunge, you basically can’t withdraw. As for slashing so far, it only protects against double-signing; we haven’t seen solutions for other types of malicious behavior yet.
