Foresight News reported that according to a post on the fan token platform Socios.com, Penn State University, Texas A&M University, Michigan State University, the University of Maryland, and the University of Louisiana announced that they will launch official fan tokens on the fan token platform Socios.com by the end of 2026. Socios.com said this marks the first time that U.S. college athletic teams have issued fan tokens. Socios.com plans to expand its partnerships to 30 university programs within the next 12 months.
