XRP and Dogecoin became the leaders of growth in the first week of 2026. This dynamics is driven by capital inflows into spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and the return of investor interest in risky assets.

According to the SoSoValue report, XRP funds showed a record series of inflows, while Dogecoin-based instruments demonstrated a sharp increase in activity after a period of stagnation.

Sustained demand for XRP instruments

Spot XRP ETFs recorded a cumulative net inflow of $13.59 million as of January 2. As a result, the total assets under management reached $1.37 billion. The positive inflow streak has continued since mid-November last year, when these financial products were officially launched on the market.

Steady capital inflows indicate long-term institutional demand. Notably, interest in XRP persists even during volatile periods, when other cryptocurrency funds faced temporary outflows.

The spot Dogecoin fund sector also demonstrated a shift in market trend. After several weeks of low activity, net inflows on January 2 amounted to $2.3 million. This allowed the total assets in DOGE-ETFs to increase to $8.34 million. Although in absolute terms the figures lag behind XRP funds, the current movement signals significant acceleration compared to December's lows.

Market prices of the assets show aligned movement. The price of XRP settled above $2 and attempted a rise toward the $2.30 level. The strengthening occurred after the asset regained key support zones, reducing selling pressure that had been characteristic of late 2025.

Leadership of leveraged funds

Dogecoin continued its upward movement within the current week. The asset's value rose from $0.13 to $0.14. The coin received support from the overall strengthening of the meme coin segment and a positive market environment. Technical factors also encouraged traders to return to high-risk assets following a breakout above local resistance levels.

The use of leverage significantly amplified these fluctuations. According to Bloomberg analysts, 2x leveraged Dogecoin ETFs became some of the most profitable instruments at the beginning of 2026. Over several trading sessions, they showed superior growth rates compared to the underlying asset.

Current statistical data highlight two parallel trends. XRP continues to accumulate stable institutional capital through spot instruments, leading to a gradual decline in exchange liquidity. Meanwhile, Dogecoin attracts short-term speculative flows, which are amplified by leveraged instruments and participation from retail investors.
