RLC (iExec)
iExec originated as a blockchain-based project that provides a distributed computing platform using its own cryptocurrency called RLC (Resource Credit). iExec provides a marketplace that fosters collaboration between industry leaders and researchers.
iExec runs on the Ethereum blockchain and is powered by the Ethereum virtual machine. The project provides a data marketplace, a compute marketplace, and an application development tool for distributed applications.
iExec focuses on topics such as big data analysis, artificial intelligence, and the internet of things (IoT), aiming to provide distributed computing and storage in these areas. To this end, iExec offers an open-source computing platform running on many nodes on the Ethereum blockchain.
iExec also provides a wallet that allows users to pay for their transactions with RLC. iExec also provides a set of tools that can be used to mine RLC.
