The Delusion of Democracy vs. the Party’s Grip—Have We Forgotten “Who Pulls the Strings” for Real? 🎭
When Putin described the American system as “men of black briefcases” who tell presidents what to do, he wasn’t revealing a secret—he was describing a play we all know, with chapters we’ve seen. In America, the actor (the president) changes, but the director (lobbies and corporations) stays fixed backstage. 🇺🇸💼
But is the alternative some people promote—the Chinese one—“heaven” that’s promised? 🇨🇳🤔
Let’s not be fooled:
1️⃣ In America: you’re governed by “billionaires” whose names you can learn and sometimes criticize (at times). 💸
2️⃣ In China: you’re governed by a “party” whose decision-makers you don’t know, who determine your fate behind closed doors—and anyone who tries to criticize simply “disappears.” 🤐
Posts praising “Chinese stability” and attacking America’s “deep state” are soft propaganda meant to convince you that trading away your freedom for a “long-term plan” is a good deal. 📉
The bitter truth:
Whether the ruler is a “corporate lobby” or a “party politburo,” in the end the citizen is a “number” in the equation of political survival. The contradiction is that we attack the “men in briefcases” in Washington and applaud the “men of the iron fist” in Beijing—as if we’re choosing the kind of restraints we prefer to wear! ⛓️
The real question:
Do you prefer a system that tricks you into thinking it gives you a voice, or one that tells you plainly that your voice is worth nothing against the interests of the state? 🗳️ vs 👊
