$HYPE Trading to Turn Things Around: Must-See! 10 Iron Rules from 5 Years of Live Trading—From Tens of Thousands to Six-Eight Figures
When I first decided to trade full-time, I had only one goal: make trading pay the bills. After five years, my account grew from tens of thousands to six-eight figures. Today, I’ll go straight to the 10 iron rules I’ve honed through hands-on practice:
Rule #1: Once you’ve chosen a direction, don’t keep flipping back and forth. If EMA20 is pointing up, only go long; if it points down, only go short—until it turns on its own.
Rule #2: Position sizing is “welded in.” Even if the account grows, the percentage never changes. 1000U at 10% means 100U; at 100,000U it’s still 10%, meaning 10,000U.
Rule #3: Stop-loss is discipline, not a suggestion. When it hits, you leave—no questions asked. One missed stop can destroy an account.
Rule #4: When you’re in floating profit, don’t add to the position—only move the stop-loss. Adding to a winning position is the most dangerous kind of greed.
Rule #5: If your profit exceeds 15%, take half. The profit you don’t withdraw isn’t truly yours—only the profits you actually take are yours.
Rule #6: If you don’t understand the market, don’t place trades. Wait in flat (no position) when it’s ranging.
Rule #7: Don’t watch the chart, don’t check the account, and don’t look at others’ trade screenshots. Closing your eyes halfway during trading keeps you stable for half the battle.
